Ophthalmology
The following information are indebted to a very senior Ayurvedic opthalmologist Dr PK Santakumari whom I met in 2006 in Kerala. Now she is approachable in www.mathaonline.com Eye healthcare is an important arena that can be earmarked for preventive and curative aspects. Ophthalmology physicians of Kerala Ayurveda have developed their own special medicines and treatment methodologies regarding the preventive and curative healthcare of most of the disorders of eye. She is a very sought after ophthalmology specialist in the Ayurveda circles of Kerala with about three decades of experience in ophthalmology practice. I met her in 2006 for my thesis work.
In 2011, I met a very unique Ayurvedic opthalmologist in Kerala, Dr Sreeja Sukeshan MD (Ayu) PhD. Her clinical experience is of the most highest order in Kerala and is very well experienced from allopathic aspects of opthamology and ENT too. Soon we shall have inputs from her in a written format as she is deeply committed to propagation of realistic, ethical, success oriented protocols teaching to doctors all over kerala. She is very thorough in documentation of cases.
Nevertheless, I solicit more inputs from other efficient, experienced, open minded. Shalakyam practicing physicians to share their knowledge and experience to this forum. Requests have been made to various physicians of this branch for the same. The following clinical conditions are just few of the cases that regularly come across in clinical experience in the Ayurveda college hospitals of Kerala.
